Who we are
Robert Beall Tech Alerts is a text-message program run by Robert Beall, an independent software developer. It sends alerts about software tools, scheduled jobs and technology help that Robert provides to the people who sign up at robertbeall.dev/sms-signup.
Information we collect
When you submit the sign-up form, we collect your name, email address, mobile number (only if you check the text-alert consent box), an optional note, the date and time of your consent, the consent wording you agreed to, and your IP address and browser type. When we send alerts, Twilio and mobile carriers process your number, the message text and delivery and opt-out status.
How we use it
We use this information only to send the alerts you asked for, to answer your messages, to honor HELP and STOP requests, and to keep a record of your consent.
Sharing
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. We do not sell personal information. The service providers that deliver and store messages for this program, such as Twilio and our hosting provider, process data only to run the program, and this never includes sharing opt-in data or consent with third parties. We disclose information otherwise only when the law requires it.
Frequency, charges and opt-out
Alerts are recurring. Message frequency varies with your projects. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any alert to opt out, and reply HELP for help. After you opt out, you get one confirmation and no further alerts.
Your choices
To change or delete your information, send a request through the sign-up form. We keep consent records only as long as needed to run the program and to show that consent was given.
